The French soprano Lou Denès is a member of the ensemble at Theater Pforzheim since September 2023. This season she will sing the roles of Valencienne in Lehar's Merry Widow, as well as Ilia in Mozart's Idomeneo and Olympia in Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann, among others.

During the 2021/22 and 2022/2023 seasons, she was a member of the studio and then the ensemble of Theater Bielefeld, where her roles included Najade in Ariadne auf Naxos by Richard Strauss, Adele in Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss, Blumenmädchen in Parsifal by Richard Wagner, and Mieze in the world premiere Berlin Alexander Platz by vivan and Ketan Bhatti. Furthermore, she made her debut in September 2022 at the ETA Hoffmann Theater in Bamberg as Rossane in "Alessandro" by G.F. Händel under the direction of Gottfried von der Goltz.

Her enthusiasm for different vocal genres led her to other repertoires such as Eva in Haydn's oratorio "The Creation", singing a program of works by composer Barbara Strozzi in Vienna for her 400th birthday, and performing regularly as a duo in song and melody programs.

In order to perfect her art and discover new horizons, she regularly takes part in master classes among others with Kammersängerin Edda Moser, Dale Fundling, Laura Aikin as well as within the framework of the German Lied Academy with Anne Le Bozec, Peter Nelson, Burkhard Kehring, Erik Bataglia.

Lou Denès is extremely grateful for the support of the Deutscher Bühnenverein - Landesverband Bayern as well as the Deutschland Stipendium.
